Yo what’s good fam!
Got a question about how to setup the Mackie template for transport control in Cubase 8
I’m using 8.5 in this video but the process should be the same for any version of Cubase 8 as long as you have access to configure the devices.

Hello Joe, thanks a lot for trying to help and sorry for getting back so late. Been busy a lot in the last weeks, so I had other stuff to do…
Unfortunately, I still cannot get this working. All my Machine Studio does after setting up everything the way you did is play Midi Notes on Cubase Instruments while in Midi Mode, and still no Transport Control while in Plug-in Mode.
Any Ideas?
Thanks and greets
Peter
Are you using the Mackie template? if so it should be working, other than that I’m not sure, maybe try turning it off as a MIDI input device and just use it as a control surface?
I followed one of your videos about how to record machine in logic a while back..worked well for a while until recently. Now when I hit the shift control buttons I get no sound. I followed all the other instuctions and still no sound.
Which one did you watch? There are a couple

Make sure you’re sending on the right note range and the group is setup to receive MIDI input
Hey thanks for the reply. When I pushed the group c button it worked. Does it always have to be on group c to record in logic.
Yeah, if using the default template that’s the group that has the proper notes, in MIDI mode each group sends a different note range.
Hey thanks again I just learned somthin!
No problem!
