I know timestretch is a sore spot for many Maschine users, and I will admit, it’s not something I use much at all. I didn’t use it when I was on the mpc, and I don’t use it much now, didn’t even use it in Ableton…BUT…I know it’s a major tool and need for many so was just messing around with it.
Many have discussed the various ways you can timestretch using Kontakt, in fact, once 1.6 was announced with vst/au support many people immediately thought of this option, but I still have been getting questions on how to go about it.
I believe there are various ways and types of timestretch, the one I’m covering here is not the offline, audio process, but more of a realtime, go from one tempo to the next type of thing.
So just check it out, and remember what I’m doing can be done with the free UVI Workstation as well as Kontakt. I actually figured it out on UVI first, then tried in Kontakt, just because I know everyone doesn’t own Kontakt.
