This is a tutorial for Maschine Mikro showing you how to load your factory fx from the hardware controller.
It also shows you how to load third party plugin fx from your own vst or au plugins.
The process is pretty much the same as loading anything else however I still go through and show the screens, how to navigate, filter, and load your fx.

ok i’ve got tempo… still trying to figure out komplete elements. i judt purchased the mikro so i would assume everything is new and up to date. i was told try rescanning which i’m doing now… i see instruments but i dont know if there from komplete or not also i’d like tp know how to audition the sounds, instruments or kits before i hit enter to load them…?/????
I don’t know what comes in the box, you may still need to get the newer version of komplete elements, it’s komplete 8 elements so it may be newer. You can’t audition sounds before loading them, you have to load them first.
The presets will not show up as komplete, it will be by instrument, so kontakt, reaktor, etc.
this is amazing how un user friendly this thing is… cant believe i traded my mpc for this and i’m stuck with it!
It’s not an mpc, but wouldn’t call it “non” userfriendly…just takes time to get used to. How long were you using your mpc?
If you want to load samples to browse through just use the next/prev buttons. But plugins will take more time to load depending on your computer specs and what you’re loading.
i was using the mpc for many years but traded it cuz i hadnt used it in awhile… i did my last mixtape on my iphone using finger beat plus my keyboard but i wanted to start sampling again so i traded for mikro. i traded finer beat for imashcine and was able to figure that out pretty easily but mikro not so much! not sure if i should subscribe next month or cancel…
Many years vs a few days, weeks, or months?
Maschine is much more complex than the iphone app, so if that’s what you were expecting it to be like I can understand the frustration.
However, once you get used to it there is nothing like it. If you have questions we are here to help, but only you can decide if Maschine for you or not.
Also remember, with the Mikro a lot of stuff is quicker using the software interface instead of just the controller, that’s one of the trade offs of going with the smaller controller.
so i see the factory effects but don’t see guitar rig and whatever came with komplete elements, sounds as well.. im using 1.7.1 which i believe is the version u said i must be using to access them. i updated komplete when i first installed it. so my two part question is how do get these going and also is i have a folder off my own sounds how do incorporate them into maschine… have them appear when i hit browse….???????
you need to make sure you have komplete elements mk2 to see the presets from it in Maschine.
for your own sounds you just need to import them and tag them so you can browse them

and the vst’s dont see those either i assumed i could use same plug ins i use in pro tools and garage band…. can i use maschine with garage band??
check these:

protools uses rtas plugins, you can’t use those in maschine or garageband, maschine uses au or vst plugins
