I downloaded the demo of FL Studio so I can figure out ways to work with Maschine and FL together.
I know FL is popular so I wanted to start exploring.
This is a simple tutorial showing how to route the multiple outputs of Maschine to multiple channels in FL Studio’s mixer

Great vid man! I can now show my partner that maschine can be routed in to FL and maybe the use of preset will albe be covered in future vids. thanks for the vid
PEACE
“KIZ”
cool fam, glad to help. What do you mean by “use of preset” ?
I have more videos planned on FL, just want to know what you’re talking about so I can try and cover it for ya!
I’m not to versed in FL but i know that my partner uses some eq presets when he does his drums. they are loaded in his mixer presets. you would have to go in to the mixer and right click on a track go to file, file will have an option “Open mixer track states” then it will have all the track states(presets) which would be mastering and other presets. this is what he told me, but im not a FL user but hopefully this will work.
Ahhh I get ya. Yeah, all their effects have presets, you could load these presets on the mixer channels to use on your drums coming out of Maschine.
DOPE MAN !!! I use FL with maschine also. I got to be honest, not many programs are beating FL at the routing game.
word bro, gotta explore more, but the audio routing is definitely easy and flexible.
maschine vst doesnt work in my FL, it keeps saying maschine cannot open for an unknown reason, but the plug-in works fine with cubase!
Not sure what to tell ya, I don’t use FL Studio often. Maybe check to see if it’s trying to load the 64 bit version, which it will try to bridge. See if it can load the 32 bit version ok. I didn’t have any trouble opening it, so it’s not a Maschine/FL issue that is normal.
@Roberto No issues here with Maschine in FL 10, latest version. The 64 bit loads bridged and no issues with the 32 bit version. I’ve had it happen on FL 9 though. In those cases I had no choice but to re-install Maschine and that fixed the issue.
Word man, yeah I didn’t have any issues over here. I didn’t use version 9 either, seems drastic to have to reinstall to get it to show up though!!
That was after trying all the other options, re-scan VST’s in FL, re-install FL, clear registry settings etc. FL just gets weird with VST’s sometimes. I have some x64 VST’s that just load a blank box for the GUI (can’t play instrument) and others that just freeze FL with task manager unable to kill the process. Usually Maschine would have issues in FL after installing a final update after a beta, so that’s why I suggested a clean Maschine install. But yeah it really shouldn’t come to that. Glad to see something for the FL users, Knock’s right the routing… Read more »
Word, I haven’t used FL in years but I know it’s popular so want to at least learn and cover how to use it with Maschine 🙂
This is a dope vid. I started with Fruity loops before i copped a Maschine. I hope you’ll have more vids on FL & Maschine integration. How can i use the FL Studio vst’s with Maschine?
word fam, as far as the vsts you should just be able to open them like any other plugin, unless they are fl only plugins. then you’d have to open fl as a plugin in maschine to use them.
bro i started making music on FL studio and if you learn how to use it the setup is so legit. FLstudio 10XXL FTW. this is what iv been waiting for. thanks SJ.
word fam!
also the EQUO vst in FL is beast. seriously check it out.
will check it out
If you load all you mp3 files in the files section..you can browse them and load them into the Edison Sound Editor, and make precise chops, and drag and drop those chops right into a Maschine pad. So for those that cant record the input from your computer for your mp3 library. That method is suppper simple!! 😉 Hopefully this helps 🙂
word, you can also load the whole mp3 and just play it, and set maschine to sample from that group that fl is on, and sample it directly into Maschine 🙂
Oh also. EVerything you chop gets put into an FL Studio folder called “Sliced Beats” You can go to the Image Line program files and find this folder under “projects” and save it as a favorite in your Maschine library for instant access to ALL the slices of all samples you have ever chopped there 🙂 A quick way to make any mp3 into WAV while using both these programs together..is to load or drag (from browser folder list) an mp3 into the Edison Sound Editor and export that song out to the sequencer of the FL studio, and the… Read more »
ahhh lol, I just said the same thing you did hahahaha, thanks fam!
Good stuff man. I just signed up last night and watching your vid’s got me getting busy over here yo. Keep it coming fam.
Dope fam that’s whasup, lots here and we always doing more stuff fam, glad you dig it!
Man the Game will never be the same lol.Bomb a_ _,vid Saintjoe.
No doubt D lol, glad you liked it bro!
Hey folks! First of all big thanks to MT team…amazing work you do! Glad to see you get into FL 🙂 Big potential and easy to use! learning everyday. I love to work with Maschine and FL. usually I mess around with Maschine, recording ideas quickly and then I export (drag/drop midi) every single sound scores from maschine pattern to a dedicated MIDI Out channel in FL in order to work on the arrangement/mixing. This way I got only one instance of Maschine loaded and one MIDI Out channel per sound used from maschine. Not sure it’s clear but I’ll… Read more »
Yep, that’s a perfect way to work, especially if you like arranging in FL already. Just route that midi back to your groups and rock on! Thanks for the comment!
I’d be curious to see this video, thanks 😉
check this out fam 🙂

LOL no prob fam. I used to do this importing slices directly into my MPC 5000 hardisk. This is obviosly much easier..but yeah…this Edison thing rocks!!! Really helps 🙂
Yes it does!
