Hey what’s good fam!
Here’s another tutorial for those using Maschine 2.0 with Studio One.
There are many ways to work with Maschine in a DAW, this one will allow you to get a basic idea scratched out in Maschine, drag the MIDI into S1 for arranging, and then quickly bounce that MIDI to audio without having to do any audio routing inside of Maschine.
Of course if you have any questions on how to make it happen, just ask

I like this workflow tip. Thanks for showing us different ways to work with Maschine and S1…S1is my DAW of choice. The drag and drop audio with Maschine is still on the money with 2.0….I haven’t experimented too much with routing audio and midi with S1 and 2.0…has a lot changed?
Do you know if you can still route the audio and midi with S1 like you could with 2.5…
You can still route both, though midi had changed a bit depending on what method you usually use.
I know this is an old thread by I am trying to figure out what do I need to do to make sure patterns with swing copy over correctly in Studio One. When I drag the midi of a snare roll etc, studio one won’t roll, etc.
Hope fully I am making sense.
I think the problem here is how Maschine handles swing. The swing/groove functions are part of the Maschine sequencer but don’t actually change the MIDI notes (I’ve been asking for swing and groove to actually move the MIDI notes for years) so once you take it out of Maschine, the MIDI is exactly how it looks inside of the sequencer. The swing and such is being applied in realtime to the notes.
where is the video/
It’s up there, you can’t see it?
no

i am having problems with maschine studio and studio one…can you help me
What are your issues?
yes i am a member
You should be able to see all videos if you have an active subscription. Can you see any of the other videos?

I am a bit confused about this workflow. Does mean you have to sequence in Maschine stand alone first? I ask because I am not able to record into maschine when I open it up in studio one
This is for those that have already sequenced something in Maschine and want to quickly drag the MIDI and bounce it to separate tracks in S1, you may want to watch this…

I thought it was the case. Cool. I already saw the real time sequencing vid. I think I would just do audio drag and drop for now until they sort out the midi. Thanks though.
No doubt, stuff like this is more for people that prefer to sequence in the DAW instead of Maschine
i followed all of your steps..but now i am finding in studio one the section that says all inputs..when i switch it to machine 2 it does not give me an option to select a channel…..what am i doing wrong?
Make sure you are using the VST and not the AU plugin
wrong post…..this is for the work around midi flow in studio one
I’m having a problem…when i drag and drop my patterns in order it played fine but when i try to process the audio as you did in the video it comes out off. also when i try to just record the audio into S1 i don’t see multi out i only see my left and right of my interface. i know I’m doing something wrong and its a small issue i can’t put my finger on.
What do you mean it’s coming out off? As for routing audio, you do that down in the mixer, you have to enable the extra outputs by “expanding” the maschine section in the mixer. https://maschinetutorials.com/maschine-tracking-out-live-audio-into-studio-one-2-5/
do i set up audio tracks in S1 when i enable the outs?
nevermind. you did put a link in your comment. DUH! thanx SJ.
All good 🙂
i wish you could record audio into S1 without using 2.0 as a plugin. I’d like to just bang a beat out, open up S1, set my audio out and just record as if i had an MPC or an MV. But i don’t wanna sound unappreciative about the way it is now. This will do.
Yeah that would be dope man
Depending on what you want to do, you could use something like this to route audio from Maschine to your DAW https://maschinetutorials.com/sequence-multiple-channels-of-midi-and-route-multiple-audio-channels-from-any-daw-into-maschine/
