Yo what’s good MF Fam!
Got a question recently about how to save/export your chops in Maschine, specifically in relation to a previous video I did showing a chop export workaround we used before we were able to save our samples with the group (some of you remember those days!)
This is a really straight forward process but honestly this is something I use often for sound design work.
*Watch this video instantly when you join today!Like I said in the video, I use this workflow often when capturing sounds, notes, and other content for sound design but it is also a great way to catalog your chops for later use.
Maschine is a really dope sample editor in my opinion!
Have fun!
This is really helpful! Thanks for making the video so quick 🙂
I’m guessing there isn’t a way to truncate all slices as a single group edit? Just trying to learn the quickest way!
And also sometimes I like to slice the same recording in two different ways but I noticed that when I duplicate the group it doesn’t duplicate the recording. So any changes I make to the slices in one group also effects the other groups with the same recordings as the source. Wondering if you have a way around that too?
Thanks so much
Sam
I feel you! LOL Unfortunately there is no batch way of truncating. As for chopping the same sample different ways, you can do this by working from the original sample instead of copying the group of chops. The quickest way would be to make a copy of the sample and add something to the end of it so it has a different name. Like “sample 02”. Then you can chop each differently. But you can also do this by chopping the original sample differently. So in the group you have the original sample, you slice and apply those slices to… Read more »
