Many of you know, when loading different Kontakt instruments, the automation and auto mapping depends on the instrument loaded.
If an instrument hasn’t been setup with automation information when it was created, Maschine will not auto map it.
You can’t have a “default” map like other plugins because the way Kontakt is so modular and every instrument is really a synth/product of it’s own.
This tutorial will show you how to setup your own custom automation for instruments so you can map them to Maschine. This is also useful for general automation of Kontakt instruments in any DAW. Many don’t know this is here, it’s actually pretty easy to do.
I also show the best way to save it so it automaps every time in the future.
check it!

hey sj just wondering how i get a sample out of kontakt to sampling area for slicing in maschine just want to assign to pads after i stretch and so on in kontakt is there any tutorials referring to this thanks?
We have a couple on timestretch in kontakt. But if you want to get it into maschine just browse to where you save the sample in kontakt. Or you could manually save to a specific folder for maschine. M ay have to do a video on it 🙂
thatd b awsum man
Cool, check out the one I just did on audacity in the meantime to get an idea, will do one on Kontakt too.
Exactly what I needed. I knew there had to be a vid on this. Thanks sj!
How do I get these knobs in maschine to work on my controller? Can u? Or am I out of luck with the mikro?
How about midi controller? I’m trying to record live knob twisting in maschine. Having lots of trouble.
Edit. Trying to record kontakts live knob twisting in maschine.
That’s one of the drawbacks with the Mikro vs the M1, lack of the knobs. But you can still assign Kontakt parameters to knobs in the software and automate that way. Will not work from your midi controller unless you then assign those parameters to the macro knobs, then you can midi learn the macro knobs.
any hints on which videos to watch to learn this?

Awesome. Didn’t realize you could save the patch with the paramater assignments- that’s a great tip.
Glad you like it man!
