For many years I have used Maschine more as a sound module/MIDI router than as a sequencer, and this setup is also how I integrate my modular synth setup with Maschine.
I’m using the Minibrute 2S as the bridge between Maschine software, Komplete Kontrol, and my modular synth rack.
I put together this video showing how I have this configured, as well as talking about why I chose to configure things this way, and showing a bit of my workflow in the process.

Of course, if you have questions or advice/input from your own setup, leave a comment below.
I’m planning to make the Maschine Mk3 the centre of my production workflow. Here’s my question. I want one device (maybe the Erica synths fusion box) with some analogue effects, a filter, gain, delay to pair with it. Can I use the internal synth engines from NI, route the audio out, through those effects and re sample the effected audio as an auto sampled new instrument? So I could create a library of instruments with that analogue goodness baked in. And then is there a way to route just one group to outboard gear so I can use the analogue… Read more »
This would be more down to your routing setup and what type of interface you have. In Maschine you can route your groups to your external outputs, in order to record it back in, you’d have to route to another set of inputs from your modular.
Apologies for the delayed response, comment notifications did not trigger for comments on this post so I missed it.
This is perfect for me. Thank you! More modular/hardware videos, please.
This is pretty much my default setup, the Minibrute 2s is my connection from the computer to the modular. After that I just treat the modular like any other external instrument. I can sample riffs, etc if I want to based on how I have the audio routed.
