If you prefer to sequencing and arrange inside of FL Studio, but like the sounds and browser in Maschine, then this video will help you understand the settings you need to configure in order to route MIDI to the Maschine plugin as well as route audio out of Maschine into the FL Studio mixer.
This will allow you to use any of your MIDI input devices like keyboards, Akai fire, etc, to trigger the sounds in Maschine.
Of course feel free to ask questions if you have them!

Im doing everything your doing in the video but still get no response in the midi out plugin
Double check every midi setting and port, there’s nothing else that needs to be setup outside of what’s shown here in order to trigger it as a sound module.
its probably because im using the mikro mk3 as a controller and its not in midi mode. What im looking for is a way to lay down patterns in machine using the mk3 and import the midi data from machine to fl studio so i can use all the functions in the machine software and mix/arrange the patterns in fl studio playlist and mixer. ive seen multiple ways to do this yet nothing seems to work for me. ive been trying for days now
Your controller won’t matter as you trying to route MIDI in FL, the controller doesn’t impact it. Are you dragging your MIDI patterns into FL and then routing the channels back to the Maschine plugin?
how do you route the channels back into machine?? i saw how to do this in ableton and it looks a lot less complicated than the patcher method i saw which seemed to be the best video. also the method using the patcher doesn’t work for me for some reason. at this point im thinking about saving up for ableton. the patters i have gotten into the playlist dont play by the rules of the playlist they play off the scenes in machine
The routing would be setup like I showed in this video, you don’t have to use the patcher (I’ve never used it personally)
Hi Joe,
This is not working for me, no midi and I have double checked to make sure the settings are exactly like the video. Everything is set up and routed to the individual mixing track but when I go to record, no midi is recognized by FL studio. I am using Maschine plus. Please advise and thank you for all these tutorials they are extremely helpful.
This is for using Maschine as a sound module, so you’d need to have another controller triggering it via MIDI in order for it to capture the MIDI.
I wound up figuring it out. Seems like it had something to do with my pad set up requiring the first pad to be on C3 so FL could pick up the data. Thanks for all of these vids bro, learning a ton!
Ahh yes, each group sends on different notes so you have to switch to the proper group in midi mode. Glad you got it!
