Yo so whats the difference between timestretching and pitch? Will it have a different sound to it?
Time stretch lets you change the tempo while keeping the same pitch. Pitch shifting usually lets you change the pitch while keeping the same tempo.
Mac OS X Lion users beware, software is a little unstable at this time.
That’s wack lol, may be worth it to try the beta version?
That’s what I was running. 1.3.13 (Beta). I might try the regular version but don’t know if it’s compatible.
Yeah not sure about the regular one being compatible with the latest version of OSX or not, it should say on their site though.
No, I can’t run that either. That was before intel-mac. I really don’t want to add software to make it run either. I’ll sit back and wait this one out. Good news is PC version works pretty good.
NO doubt fam, I wouldn’t want to add software to make it work either lol
Nice…. Anyway u can change the pitch but keep the same tempo of ur choice w/audacity?
yep, use the effect that says change pitch 🙂
I use audacity quite a lot, great wee program.
Indeed it is, been using it as an audio editor way before I was even using software to make music lol. Dope that it’s free!
Makes absolutely no sense come on NI time stretch time stretch time stretch how many people have to say it and how many times do we have to say it !!!!!!
Great vid though Joe
LOL, no doubt fam lol…needs to be in there, but I will continue to show alternatives until they add it 🙂
nice. audacity actually has decent timestretch
Yeah, it’s useful for those that need or want to use it
That was Nice
Cool fam, thanks for the comment
Wow,with the right tools Maschine is unstoppable.
No doubt fam, they need to add this function into Maschine natively
yo Sj what up bruv – just sampling some disco loops but as with old disco records the timing is not spot on I know you can use warp in ableton (which i’m not great at ) is there any other software or methods so i can beat match the sample etc ?
cheers
g
ableton probably has the most customization stretching I know of, especially with stuff where the tempo fluctuates
