Hey what’s good MT Fam?
Got a tutorial for all the Reaper users out there. Had a question on how to setup multiple MIDI tracks to sequence Maschine as a plugin in Reaper.
So for those that don’t know and want to know, this video should get you going.
Of course if you have any questions just let me know!

Cool fam 😀
Thanks for checking it out
OK thanks thats what ive been trying to do for the longest!
Glad to help bro!!
Hey man how Do I route Midi from Maschine 2.0 and record it into reaper in real time?
Have to check but don’t know if you can do that as a plugin, I can’t remember it’s been a while. You mean load it as a plugin and record midi?
Exactly OR if not loaded as a plug -in, via REAROUTE if possible. Its been driving me mad! Can’t get it to work. But i saw your other vids with cubase and other Daws for midi in real time.
Word, yeah all daws do not allow recording of midi from plugins, I’ll have a look though and see.
So it doesn’t seem Reaper allows relatime recording from Maschine as a plugin, you would have to put the controller in MIDI mode and do it that way.
Thanks for the vid! Trying to figure out what daw to use with maschine and I’ve used reaper in the past. The method you’ve shown would allow for mixing of each maschine group in reaper. What method would I follow to allow for mixing of each instrument in a group within reaper (specifically drums)?
For each instrument you’d have to go to the pad output section to send each pad to an external output instead of the group.
Do you guys have a video on how to do this?
I can follow all the steps, but when I put it into Midi mode there is no more sound output. Sometimes there is output but its super slow and distorted. I think it could be the way I’m setting up my output from the maschine. Do you have a video that shows the more up to date process, since this video shows old reaper and maschine software?
What audio interface are you using and what is your buffer setting? Midi and audio routing in maschine is still done the same way but now you can do it from the mixer or the pad output section. I’ll have to download reaper to see if anything has changed but it sounds more like an audio buffer/latency issue than a routing issue.
Posted an updated video with the latest versions to show the process, hopefully this helps you out as well https://maschinetutorials.com/maschine-2-6-sequencing-multiple-midi-tracks-reaper/
