What’s good fam! Back with another tutorial for ya.
Ok, this isn’t specific to Maschine but could be useful in your workflow anyway. I had a member asking me how to route multiple midi channels of Kore in Ableton Live so I wanted to show a video for it.
Now this can be useful if you use Maschine in Ableton and like to host your plugins directly in Live as opposed to Maschine, it also helps to understand the midi routing between Live and various plugins.
Hope this helps the member that was asking about it, as well as any others that may use this plugin in Ableton or other multi channel plugins.

LMAO!!! that member is… ME!!! (with the Price is Right victory song in the background) thanks SJ!!! i needed this vid. #GoHard
No doubt brotha! I told you I’d get it done for ya lol.
btw, i noticed that you used the 2X16 version of K2. why did u do this? i read that this version of it “provides 16 stereo outputs for using KoreSounds with multiple outs” (yeah…i’m kinda slow, i read the manual). what does that mean?
The main reason is, I could route each instrument in Kore to it’s own audio output for adding fx and such in ableton if I wanted to.
10-4!
LMAO! one more thing…i’m diggin that beat. i know you saved it right?
Yessir!
I know we going to get a Cubase video on this right. If you don’t I’m telling Matthew Loel T. Hepworth.
For multiple channels of Kore? You want me to do a video? I’ll have to get the demo again, should be able to use the demo code you sent me LOL
You know I had to mess with you Doc. The video was pretty thorough.
I’ll do it fam if you want lol
I don’t have Kore 2. I just have the player. Butttttt;
It’s funny, I was just gonna try something like this with multiple instruments in Kontakt.
I imagine it would be the same concept, yes???
Dominick
Yeah it’s the same you just set the midi channel on each instrument you load in kontakt
I don’t have kore, but this looks cool. Not to add fuel to any fires, but didn’t NI discontinue Kore? Anyway cool vid bro. As always short and to the point.
No doubt fam, yeah they discontinued it, but it’s still pretty dope 🙂
Is the advantage of doing it this way, that by only having ONE instance of Kore, the CPU load on Live is less?
(as opposed to having 4 instances of Kore – ie. one for each instrument?)
Yeah pretty much, some people like to keep all their same instruments from the same library in one instance. Similar to Kontakt or other multi channel instruments.
Ah, ok – I haven’t really messed with multiple outs from any plug-ins yet – I’ve only recently wrapped my head around Maschine > Live routing in general.
Cool tute Joe. Simple and to the point. I might try something like this int eh future.
Cool man, glad to help. It can get pretty useful.
yeah, dope vid Joe. I sure would like to have Kore it has a lot of nice sounds.
That beat made me wanna make something. That’s my style of music there.
Good job!
You got Kore player right? Most of those sounds came from one or more of the soundpacks they had for the kore player. I don’t use the kore factory library much lol. But yeah, Kore was nice but I understand why they discontinued it from a technical standpoint.
Hey SaintJoe,
In logic pro, I am use to finding a tempo for my song after I play in a beat. I simply use beat detective and get a rough idea of what the tempo for my song should be based on the transients of my percussion hits. How can I do the equivalent of finding the tempo with the maschine software or maschine mikro hardware?
Check this out, in one part I show how to find the BPM in mashine softwre (will work from hardware too)
