This is a basic tutorial showing you how to save your projects in Maschine and the various options you have for doing so.
Once you get starting with making your own tracks and projects in Maschine, you will definitely want to save them for future recall.
This is probably one of the first things you’ll want to learn after sampling and sequencing, maybe even before those.
Knowing how to save your ideas will allow you to become efficient in starting ideas and then finishing them later.

what’s the best way to save on my desktop, to be able to move those beats and samples over to my laptop, so i can play them on both computers?
choose the “save project with samples” option and save the project to it’s own folder.
Saintjoe, I see you save your projects to your C:\ drive. I’m working off of a laptop right now with a 5500 rpm drive, so I have all my sample and projects saved to an external drive.
Which do you think is best to save just the projects, Maschine, DAW, or otherwise? C:\ or external? Or, does it matter?
it’s really up to you, saving projects is a bit different than like a daw where you record to. Always record to a separate drive if you can, but if not, it’s all good. I back my projects up to multiple locations as well, but it doesn’t really matter where they are since they aren’t streaming data, they are just the project files/archives.
A bit off subject but how do I rename my samples? Once I record a sample into Maschine it always gives it a numerical name which it makes it hard to identify later on. How do I rename my sample?
Open up the sample editor and where the name of the sample is your can click in there and rename it.
Thanks. That was easy.
Glad to help!
After I chopped my sample..how do I save only the chopped parts and get rid of the parts of the sample I aint use?
You can truncate them, and you can also use this technique

peace!
st Joe i moved over to a mac, and now the samples are missing when i load a project.. any suggestions?
Did you save your projects with the samples? Also, did you reinstall the full library? Are they personal samples or factory samples? If personal, you have to add your personal sample folders back in Maschine preferences and scan so it knows where they are.
Hi, I just became a member of MT.com, and I’m trying to watch some of your tutorial videos, but some of the videos will not play, like this one “Saving your projects in Maschine” for example. Can you tell me how I can get your videos to work? Thanks.
It seems some are having issues with firefox recently, try google chrome, IE, or safari. I am communicating with our video hosting provider to see what they have to say about it.
Thanks saintjoe. I’m able to watch all your videos now as I’ve switched to safari instead of firefox.
Cool, I found out it’s an HTML5 issue, firefox latest version should support it, but it’s also due to how different browsers render html5. Glad you’re good though!
