I recently received a question from an MT member on how to route individual sounds from Polyplex into separate channels inside Maschine’s mixer.
Doing this allows you to apply plugins and effects to separate sounds from Polyplex as well as control the volume level and panning directly in the Maschine mixer interface.
Once you understand the process it gives you more flexibility when working with instruments like Polyplex.

Joe, you are the man! I appreciate you doing this video, You ever come to D.C., first round is on me haha!
Polyplex is easily one of my instruments in Komplete 10. Super powerful, and new even more being able to route it. If only Maschine had done the Macros to control the samples, Polyplex would be unstoppable. Is that even something that can be routed, or do I just have to control the samples/subtype by using my mouse?
Thank again
Glad to help fam! Didn’t want you to think I was ignoring you just figured a video would be best lol.
I agree, control over the actual sample layers would have been really cool.
Haha not at all man! I know how busy you are between here and Pushtutorials and Sounds and Gear. And I ask alot of questions haha. What do you think is going to happen next with Maschine2.5? or 3.0? have you heard any rumors about when 2.5 is going to come out? NI has been quiet for awhile now, maybe they are feeling the heat from Akai Touch and Push 2? Hopefully a sequencer update and bug fixes (Alias names for user kits kill me for example, I can’t get any of the hello sample pack groups to link or… Read more »
Salute! I don’t know what they will do next man, hopefully something good lol
thanks Saint Joe! I love polyplex! It just uses too much cpu when I load it into maschine. Don’t know what the issue is with that.
No problem fam. Yeah, it can def use a lot of cpu, there are a lot of fx and such firing off for each pad/sound.
Hella late on this (just got MaschineTutorials membership), so hopefully you’ll see this question. For some reason I’m only seeing “In 1 L+R”, “In 2 L+R”, etc. as the options available where you’re selecting “A1: S1 2”, etc. I’m assuming I don’t have something setup right in my settings — any ideas?
Would really love to use Polyplex on individual channels. :-/
Which input are you looking at, are you on the sound input channel and do you already have Polyplex loaded on a pad?
Actually, I think I got it. I was loading Polyplex as AU instead of VST. Works now. But one other slightly-related question. Is it possible to use Maschine Expansion patterns to play Polyplex sounds?
I tried loading one instance of Polyplex and importing midi from Crystal Daggers expansion on each channel. Then I followed the instructions in the video to route it to individual channels. But it only plays midi from the first channel (the kick).
You would have to drag the midi of the pattern into the piano roll of a single pad for it to trigger everything. If you’re just using the pattern as is, it only has notes on each pad and not all notes on one pad.
Got it. Thanks!
No problem fam!
