So now that we have adjustable loop ranges among the scenes in Maschine 2.0, many want to know how to control this directly from the hardware.
In this tutorial I show how to adjust the loop range directly from the Maschine Studio controller.
No matter if you want to set your loop range to a specific scene, multiple scenes, or just a certain section of your current scene, it’s all easily done from the hardware controller.
You can also do this from the Mikro and MK2 controllers, and each one has it’s own way of doing it. Â See the videos for each of those if you are interested

Cool – but you would think that NI would be able to achieve the loop adjustment commands using LESS that 4 buttons simultaneously!
Also – quick question – is it possible to create your own custom ‘SHIFT + ‘ commands?
Seeing as the 16 pads no longer have secondary functions, it would really extend the functionality of the interface if you could specify 16 of your own custom commands using the ‘SHIFT + PAD X’ .
Any word on this?
Yeah it was a little weird at first, but I’m used to it now. It’s a lot of buttons and I expected that on the MK2 but on the “flagship” Studio I wouldn’t expect to have so many button combinations to do things personally, I would have expected more dedicated ways, but oh well, at least it’s there as an option. I just drag it in the software most of the time though LOL
Nice!!! Um…sir…why are you making 3 bar patterns?!!!!!!!!!! lol
I’m not LOL, just thew them in there for the video LOL
So i’m able to move the entire loop using the jog wheel but unable to adjust beginning and end using the function arrows…any idea why? Of course i’m holding shift and loop buttons in both cases.
thanks!
You have to hold all 3 then turn the jog wheel
Great!!
Glad to help!
Thanks! Was trying to work this out, and finally came here… Which I should have done straight away!
Wasn’t expecting it to be so many button presses for adjusting loop brace…
Yeah, feels like playing twister…but once you get used to it, it becomes really quick like most things you do over and over lol.
I know this isn’t the place to ask but………….Do you know if NI will ever add audio tracks so you can actually record vocal tracks like you can in Logic and other DAW’s? I know you can drag your stuff into Logic and then add vocals, but I mean all in Maschine. I know you can sample your vocals and all that but you know what I mean. Real audio tracks for vocals so I can do the entire song in Maschine stand alone.
I think you answered your own question in the first sentence lol…
You’re not the only one that’s been wanting this forever, it’s been something I’ve been begging for personally for a long time. But we do not code for NI, so we don’t know.
Great info!
