you're welcome!
think we will be getting a rewire function for maschine?
I doubt it lol, but who knows.
I have everything setup according to your video execpt im using a midi sport 4×4… I have the midi cable running from maschine midi out to midi in on the midi sport, and I cant get no sound or anything..I cant get reasons to play if i have maschine running…..I have the digi 002 Rack for my sound card
Does your soundcard allow two audio applications to play at the same time? Is it multiclient? If not, you won’t be able to hear both.
Oh ok….I guess my digi 002 Rack is not multiclient,….What would be the best way to go?..Can I just download some drivers or run another soundcard along with the 002 rack so I can have each appllication running on separate soundcards..
Thanks man,
set Reason to use your internal soundcard and then you can connect a cable from that to the input of your digi to sample the sounds from reason
Hey Saintjoe great tutorials!! Im using a mac, Logic 9, Reason 5. After using this process how do I bounce out the audio from Reason?? Using this same technique in Logic I would record the midi back into Logic on the same midi channel/track. I would just set Maschine to sync to midiclock. Then I could bounce within Logic. Can u do the same thing with Reason? Cause Ive never used it other than a rewire tool.

I would use the rewire vst to get Reason sounds into Maschine, or you will just have to resample the audio depending on how your audio interface handles routing. This was one of my earlier videos I did but since then I have come across the rewire vst tool.
So it really depends on your setup, I personally don’t own Reason so I just downloaded the demo in these videos to try things out lol
But with the rewire instrument can only use a sound at a time right??
Producer Stylzkeyz
I gotta putta a pic up damn lol
yeah that’s correct,
Honestly I hardly ever use Reason. I come from the MPC days, sound modules and mixers…So Maschine is my new MPC and I’m looking for software sound modules to use Maschine in stand only mode. And while Reason’s seq sux serious ass!!! there are some very capable sounds in Reason tho. As my main sound source..lol hell naw but it has its place. As a musician the MoPhatt had some sounds but never really did for me as a major sound source for example. However, Logic 9 could be my main seq and source cause its so vast. As a… Read more »
Bro we come from the same background lol, when I first got maschine I used to push for plugins inside of it, people thought I was crazy, said they wouldn’t do it, etc…but I knew it would be dope and I wanted it.
So I try to keep all my sounds inside it now by using plugins, and I’m not a Reason user at all, I don’t own it, but always try to help those that do!
I know we come from the same background. Honestly Ive had almost every MPC. Never was really and ASR10 Fan but like the DSP processor on it. Sp1200 wicked!! I got my Publishing Deal with Dreamworks with a MPC2000, ATC1, Roland XP-50 and a VS880 Lmao in 2000. I used the vs880 for five more years lmao before I got in to Protools and Logic. While Im good in all those DAWs Ive never been as comfortable, efficient, fast and creative as I was on an MPC. But now with Maschine 1.6 I feel renewed!!! Im back!!

Ahahahah! Bro, my first “daw” was an akai dps 16, then I had a boss br1180cd, I’ve never done any ‘recording’ on the computer lol, only moved to making beats with it a couple years ago lol
Maschine is that joint son!
I got all yall beat…my first recorder was the akai MG1212 ..WHAT !!! Top That !! lol
16 track one inch tascam tape machine Ms16 with an mpc 2000, lol then cakewalk, protools in 1997 now i picked up maschine and have yet to use it,, cant front im scurrred help lol- Logic Gonzalez
ahahaha, don’t be scared son! you in the right spot to learn how to rock it! Ask any questions you have man and look around the site, get in the forum, ask questions, etc.
rock that Maschine!
Joe,
When I connect reason thru maschine according to your video, I can hear sounds and even record and see them registering in Maschine. BUR, when I go to playback what was recorded from reason, I hear nada, I can see the midi data but dont get any sound and its driving me crazy!
When you playback, you should be playing back from Maschine not Reason. Nothing is recored into Reason, only into Maschine.
You should be pressing record in Maschine and recording the data there, then when you playback in maschine you will hear sounds from Reason.
And that was supposed to be “but”. Wasn’t tryna to get my Gucci on lol
Ahahahaha lol.
LOL !!!!!!! I was about to say we got Gucci up in here on MT !!..lol
@Joe, Thats exactly what I do, but I still dont hear anything. As crazy as it may be, I had the same problem trying to sequence Machine in Cubase 4. Could see the recorded notes and hear them as I record but once I go playback – Silence. Could it be a sound card issue b/c i’m using an internal souncard for the time bein’?
shouldn’t be a problem if you have everything running through maschine, if you are using rewire then Reason’s output should be coming through Maschine. Weird that you had the same issue with maschine in cubase, there’s got to be a setting or something that isn’t setup properly
Saint Joe, thanks for the vid! However, I’m having problems loading rewire on mulitple pads. Right now, I am only able to rewire one on one pad from reason. Is there any way around this problem?
Thanks!
HEAVY
No you can only open it once.
