Hey Joe, I’m trying to sample my keyboard directly into the MK3, and am having no luck.
In Settings, in Audio, I have the Device set to MK3. The Input Routings are set to 1: In L and 2: In R
I’m running a dual TRS cable from my keyboard into the Line Ins at the rear of the MK3.
When I go to Sampling I have the Input Source set to ‘Ext. Stereo’ and Input set to In 1 L+R.
But no audio comes through to the MK3
I have Monitor set to ON.
What am I missing here?
And now I’ve done something where I’m getting no audio out of the MK3.
Switching Device to Built In sometimes fixes it, but sometimes I get audio feedback. Why is this?
If you’re MK3 is setup as your ONLY device, then it will work. You will not hear anything if you have not turned up the input volume on the back of the MK3, as it will not be loud enough to actually ready what is going into it. Also, the output on your keyboard needs to be set properly. If you do not hear the MK3 it sounds like you’ve changed the audio device inside of the Maschine software to something other than the MK3, and if you don’t have speakers connected to whatever you changed it to “build in”… Read more »
Ahhhhhhhhh…. the issue is that I had the Mic Gain turned down.
I didn’t realise that this ALSO functions as the Line In Gain. That’s a bit misleading, or is that normally how things are labeled?
I interpreted it literallly as a MIC gain, and since I didn’t have a Mic connected, I kept it down.
Yep, that’s just the “gain” the mic/line share the same input path so the gain is the same for those.
