Yo what’s good MT fam! Had some questions in the forum from the fam using the Maschine MK1 with the latest software, they wanted to see the basic process of sampling.
This video just shows the workflow of setting up your audio inputs, sampling, chopping, and then putting together a quick pattern.
Of course there is no right or wrong way to sample, but hopefully this gives the MK1 users a good look at how the controller works with the latest software version.
The good thing about Maschine is that all of the controllers work with the same software so the process isn’t much different between each controller once you understand the new software layout.

Great video! I am having a problem with samples involving mutiple chops. Like (i.e. Ghetto Gospel 4) The samples are sorta all over the place. I set them up like shown in previous videos. Splice set at split or manual and I get my parts but putting them in beat form is were it gets confusing. Can you or if you have already made direct me to a video that breaks sampling down for a beginner in Maschine but not a beginner to sampling loops. Apologize for long post.
I’m not familiar with that product, but if I understand what you’re asking, there is no default way to chop a sample, each sample is going to be different and it will be based on what you want to do with the sample. Putting your chops together is more of a personal choice than anything else, I suggest watching more videos in the sample section to get an idea of working with different types of samples. https://maschinetutorials.com/category/sampling-tips/
Yoooo! I need some help when it comes to dealing with importing .wav files [samples] into Maschine! I want to sample two separate sections of the .wav, disregarding the rest of the audio, before spreading each of the 2 new sections across the pads in separate groups?
I’m using Maschine mk1 with 2.4.7 software!

If you’re importing the wavs I would put each wave in it’s own group. Then set start/end points to the sections you want, click the edit tab, and truncate so you only have that section. If you want to slice it you would then go into slice mode, slice it, and click apply.
That’s really helped, thanks. But when I manually slice the sample and it’s spread across the 16 pads twice because of the length of the sample, how do I access all of the slices – i can only access the first half of the sample on the pads?
Glad tohelp fam. If you press shift you can switch to the next page of slices.
