Yo what’s good MT Fam, just a quick tutorial video showing how to change the notes your pads play on the Maschine Mikro when in keyboard mode.
I like the way it’s implemented on the Mikro, hope they add the same labels to the standard controller.
Basically what this does is allow you to use your pads like a keyboard to play up and down the chromatic scale.
Native Instruments implemented a very quick way of changing octaves with the Mikro that makes it super simple
Check out the video below and of course if you have any questions just ask

They need to add that on the regular maschine!!
Yeah, you can do it, it’s just not labeled because there’s no room on the keyboard screen, since it has all the notes. But you just use the last buttons over the right screen to do it when in keyboard mode.
how about changing key? i see the pad marked semitone- and semitone + but i can’t figure out how to access them….
thanks,
richard
that’s for after you already have your pattern created, you can change the tone/semitone of the data you’ve recorded by using that. You can also change the key of each individual pad by changing the root note for the pad in pad mode.
how do i change the root note (wow quick response!)
click the pad mode button, and you’ll see the root note for the pad on the maschine screen
i don’t see it….is it because i am on a mikro? thanks saint joe…
oh my bad! lol
click pad mode, then at the bottom where it says1/4 go to page 3/4 it says base K. then says what key the pad is, should be c3 by default
thanks man – awesome
Glad to help!
thanks a million Mr.Saintjoe!!:)
No problem!!
Thank the lord for Saint Joe! I was manually entering each octave in machine to change it before… This is just what the doctor ordered. Keep up the good work sir.
Hahahaha, glad to help man!
