Hey what’s good fam?
Just a quick Maschine 2 browser organization video as I get asked a lot about how to organize sounds on your hard drive in general as well as for quick use in Maschine.
This is dealing with sounds that you don’t want to go through and tag for the browser, but you still want to be able to quickly access and drag into Maschine.
I personally use this method a lot for my sample content, and tend to only save actual kits or instrument/presets into the browser with tags.
Though I do wish we could browse our own hard drive/folders from the controller, I still dig this method for quickly finding my stuff in Maschine.
As usual, if you have questions feel free to ask

This is how i load samples most of the time too. Also when you go to a folder like a drum or a sample folder you can click on a file and use the arrow keys to go to the next one and so on and press Enter to load them.
Yep man I do that all the time when making kits too. My arrow/enter game is strong lol
Joe! These are the best vids IMO. I agree tagging in Maschine sometimes can be redundant, if you already have your folders organized. Not having your sounds organize is like a chef starting to cook a meal, and not knowing where the plates, knifes, spoons and pots are located. Good organizational skills with your music tools almost elevates you to a more professional status. EXCELLENT!!!
No doubt bro! You know how I am about organization lol.
yo saintjoe…how do you delete folders and banks in 2.0?
If you mean after importing samples, remove your folder from the user preferences and it will remove it from your browser. You can’t change banks, but same thing, removing folders will remove the banks associated with those folders.
You can remove favorite folders by right clicking and choosing “remove favorite”.
I’m sorry but I am a little confuse on how this completely works
What part is confusing you? They won’t show up on the controller if that’s what you mean, it’s just a quick way to access your favorite folders from the browser in the software so you don’t have to search for them all the time.
