Hey what’s good fam. If you haven’t downloaded the latest Maschine update you can grab it from Native Access.
The update is 2.6.5 and one of the main new features is a change to the arranger, specifically, the addition of “Ideas” view.
Basically, it looks like a software version of Maschine Jam, it lets you quickly try out various combinations of patterns within a scene before you actually commit to the timeline.
It’s definitely a move in the right direction and allows you to test out different combinations without thinking about how your song will be laid out. Honestly, this way of working as been a major reason I’ve used Ableton Live for so long (and more recently Bitwig) as I dig the ability to just come up with ideas without thinking in a linear fashion.
Anyway, if you have any specific questions about this or the latest update feel free to ask or request a vid.
Have you tried it out yet? If so, let us know what you think below!
First of all that beat is dope….you be holding out man I was grooving to it bars ready LOL!! I like how you do it all man, very versatile. I like the ideas view it helps out a lot, but I’ve got a question for you how are you not doing the Beta testing, or are you? For the past few months I’ve been messing with this Idea View and a few other new features in testing which I think will totally change how you produce in Maschine. I didn’t get to try everything in depth due to time but… Read more »
Good point. More than anything, I hope the competitiveness pushes all companies to bring their best to the market. It only benefits us in the long run.
For sure man and I’m ready to reap them rewards pronto!
Ahahahaha, word man, it’s a step in the right direction. Nah, I’m not on the beta team.
Yeah, it’s always good to have competition, the end users benefit overall and companies are pushed to constantly improve their products.
And why not brother you the “S” in Maschine SJ wassup with that LOL. Every new version I got for testing made me think of you and Knock!! They’re getting really aggressive with the testing like every week there’s a new version. They’re being very strategic in their attempts.
LOL…I was on there for many years…I’m still around, just not in a beta capacity, no worries though…my finger is still on the pulse…lol…keep up the good work though 😉
Im over here like … Oh snap look at this … I better go get a lesson … and here I am ! LOL
Man playing with my JAM and this new ‘2.6.5 stuff’ from the mothership is dope as f*ck.
Word man, enjoy
Hahahaha lol
Really liking the new update, the ideas view, really helpfull, quick to use for messing around with ideas, before laying out the track
The big one for me is the ability to save your audio and mid routings, while trying out drum kits etc,Horray, its such a time saver!!
Are you (or have you got a video on this Saintjoe?) Nice beat btw ha,ha
Cool fam, do you find yourself using the new mode?
Hi Bud .not yet,as I been busy with shift work, lol. Also going back over the Maschine software etc, after a break form making music.
I have not long finished a shift,as its our Bank holiday here in the UK,so going to have a play,I will let you know,ha,ha
Ahh ok, got ya.
why does the new update erase my expansions icons and komplete icons? Im on Mk2 by the way???
It shouldn’t erase anything. Are your expansions and komplete instruments still there? Just the icons in the browser are missing? I’d try to rescan the library first, if that doesn’t work I’d hit up NI to see if there is any bug that they are aware of.
