Hey what’s good fam, here’s another quick video on the Maschine 2.4.5 update.
This one deals with the new slicing features.
You can now add slices on the fly automatically from the pads when in manual mode. You can also add slices on the fly from the slice edit screen, as well as quickly split a slice.
They also added the option to delete all slices from the hardware.
As usual, if you have any specific questions let us know!
Yes! LOL! NI needed to catch up on the sampling & slicing side. I’ve been so busy didn’t even notice this update. Thanks!
Word fam, glad to help lol
Hmmmm…what’s all this then?
Ahahahahaha LOL
Hey Joe I got a little stuck on this yesterday, I guess since I don’t use samples as much I”m not entirely to familiar with the different slice modes. I did have mine on manual but didn’t quite see the screen you have here to playback the audio and tap the pads to create slices. It also be that I”m using the Studio so it’s different on that one not sure. Either way I’d like to know even though I’ll probably wait until they release the bug-free version of this update since they’ve pulled it.
This is only in the updated version of the software and you have to be in slice mode for it to work. The software works the same on all contrllers so having the Studio isn’t an issue. As long as you have a sample loaded and you are in slice mode with manual chosen you should be able to use it.
Lol ok perhaps I wasn’t as clear as I thought I’m using the current version 2.4.5 for Mac. I was in slice mode and the setting was manual. My guess is I’m missing a step of some sort.
There are no other steps though. All you have to do is be in slice mode and using manual, if you’re using the latest version that’s all there is to do. Make sure you’re not in slice edit mode as it will not work there.
Kind of weird came back home and it’s working lol. Now I’m wondering should I even work on a track when there’s an issue with the software but I’m so open to get busy. Did you uninstall yours I don’t see any downloads for 2.4.0?
Nope, still on 2.4.5 lol, 2.4 should be in your account under “updates” you can just install that and it will downgrade you.
well now if S.J. ain’t doing it why should I hahaha you in love with it too uhuh lol.
I just doubt I’ll be making anything that I can’t afford to lose by the time they fix it, I’ll take my chances hahaha. I’m not in the middle of any projects or anything.
Looks like the wait was very short huh, they already got the fix today lol. I will say a lot of issues I had with not being able to sequence like I wanted did get resolved with this update although still no mute and solo options unless manually edited. I suppose my last issue is for some reason Maschine still isn’t strong enough to handle a full mixdown with fx plugs like other DAWS Logic and Reason seem more stable for that IMO.
No doubt lol, that’s why I wasn’t worried, I figured they’d get it out fast hahaha. I guess it depends on the plugs/fx you’re using, I’ll admit I don’t use a lot myself hahaha.
I still love Maschine though it’s always the goto no matter what my # 1 tool
I feel you bro
Is anyone having problems time stretching. Is it broken in 2.4.6 or am I missing something When I apply a stretch it does not seem to be working. am i missing something
I haven’t heard of any TS issues, I just checked and it still works for me.
sometimes i try and normalise or stretch and the sample disappears. sometimes it just does not respond
Can’t say I’ve had that problem, maybe contact NI directly and see what they say.
Thanks
