Hey what’s good MT fam?
Got another video for the Studio One 3 users, specifically those of you that like to track out your audio in real time.
This of course is an easy way of capturing your performance as audio data directly into the DAW.
It’s definitely more of an old school approach, but some of us just can’t break the habit of working this way, as it gives you the flexibility of capturing everything you do yet still having separate audio tracks.
Maschine and Studio One 3 definitely work well together in this regard

Hi SaintJoe,
Do you know how to sample audio into Maschine VST using Studio One 3?
Just watched your ‘Sampling into Maschine while in Studio One v2’ video. I wish we could route into the Maschine Instrument instead of using the Maschine FX
I’ll double check in the new version, I know in daws like Ableton you can route to the plugin channel, I’ll have to see if in S1 you can route audio to the plugin channel.
Yeah, I don’t see a way to actually route audio to the plugin track directly. I wish it had an option like Geist or BPM where they come with a separate smaller plugin that you can place on the audio track/input and it would allow you to sample into Maschine.
This is the first time I’ve seen that “enable outputs” tab/section man. Smh!
Hahaha, no doubt fam!
Hey what’s good fam? Do you think it would be better to export all like you showed us in a previous video. Export All, Sounds, Create wave and then just grab the whole folder and drag and drop. Just asking you know more about it then me. Or is it a reason we should channel it up like that?
I tend to just export, but some prefer this way so they can capture a performance in realtime and still have it all separated.
Hi St.Joe. I really need some clarity on this. So i built a beat on Machine Studio and mixed it. (i found that theres an issue with plugin latency in maschine especially when using mastering plugins.verified that on the NI website). I then opened the machine inside protools and had all the vocal recordings done. I came back for mixing and found that there is a latency issue with maschine running in protools as well. also verified. So i proceeded to export all my individuals sound from this maschines complete mix to import into protools and mix to fit around… Read more »
If you’re using a lot of complex routing the best way is to do it live using the multiple outputs. The issue is, if you say for example, route between groups and then just export individual groups or sounds, those effects will not be exported with the sounds because you’re exporting before they get there. If you’re doing a lot of routing in Maschine it’s best to export the master (I know that doesn’t help lol).
hi joe. i have to be disappearing sometimes because of my job requirements- anyway- is studio one the most intuitive with maschine when it comes to getting a full mix out into the daw with the complex routing i described- (sidechaining with aux and with routing audio to fx group) I’m losing sales when i can’t send the trackouts as requested 🙁 timely. I’m liking the ease of use I’m seeing so far i was looking at studio one and i see that you can do what they call exploding. I’m assuming ill get all the sounds separate and still… Read more »
All good fam! Exploding is mainly for MIDI notes but I do think S1 is really flexible and easy when it comes to routing, this method may provide what you want. I’d say try the demo and see if it fits you’re needs. Just remember you only have 16 stereo outputs from the Maschine plugin.
Also, maybe another way, though a bit tedious, you could export your group level outputs, so if you have something sidechained, solo that sound in the group and export the group as a stem?
