Hey what’s up MT Fam! Finally!!
We have an actual mixer in Maschine! This tutorial is dedicated to making sure you understand all parts of the new mixer in Maschine 2.0
I go over the different sections, how to switch between groups and sounds, how plugins are loaded, as well as the new channel strip view where mini versions of loaded plugins and modules are shown.
Of course if you have any questions just ask. I will have a separate video showing how mixing is done directly from the Maschine Studio controller.

They seem to have taken some cues from LPX. Very interesting.
I like it man, really clean/simple layout
It seems they’ve put the most frequent goto functions upfront, while keeping the layout refined. I dig it.
Yeah for sure man!
Great addition to the software. SJ can you do something quick on the mixer controlling for the MK2?
Yeah it is, I’m uploading one for you now fam.
Very dope. I’ll be using one sound per group unless it’s my drum group.
Cool man, that’s how I work too, each group is a track lol
Using one sound per group is a cool idea now that we can have as many groups as we want making the collapsed mixer look like one in a Standard daw.
Yes indeed
Would be awesome to get my old Euphonix MC Mix thats been sitting around working with this!!!
That would be cool man!
Man this is Dope. Thanks for the info SaintJoe.
No doubt, got a bunch more to upload, let me know if you have any questions!
In the 1.8, we couldn’t modify vst’s parameter’s name, when mapping. Can we do it with the 2.0?
Thanks! 😉
Yes indeed man, you can change it to whatever you like 🙂
Can you undock this and move it onto a second monitor? I had quad monitors and like to use my real estate to its max.
You can’t currently undock it, hopefully something like that will come in the future.

Choke groups in 2.0 for MK1?
press the pad mode button and you will get your choke groups
SMH! Thanks… I’ll RTFM myself tonight! This is what happens when being fast and a lil too anxious… Got it now though.
Now I’m trying to figure out how to add an effect to an individual sound
When you’re on the sound you can press shift then you’ll see an “insert” to add an effect
Perhaps I’m super slow but after watching a few of the recent tutorials I must say thank God for rewind lol I find myself having to use it a lot with you homie I’m like “slow down Joey boy your losing me”. Really what it is is that your a Maschine veteran and you know your stuff really well you’ve figured the layout pretty quickly for something so new. I”m still reeling from the wizardry you did back with other stuff remind me to go get my speedy skates before the next tutorial 🙂 ha ha!!! Thanks my brother always… Read more »
Lol well that’s exactly how I want you to use the site 🙂
Rewind when you need and ask questions also we will make you a vet.
Man I was going crazy with the Kontakt multiout issue after rewinding so many times last night I figured out that the Kontakt didn’t already have the outputs added. I kept hearing your voice over and over and I was like what the hell am i missing why don’t I see what he’s seeing and that was it output channels were missing. I’m so use to how it works in FL studio with assigning Kontakt to a port and then adding midi channels using that port it’s a bit trickier with Maschine. Thank goodness that Technical Troubleshooting side of me… Read more »
hahahaha, I feel ya bro!
These are all great tuts bro! As usual thx man!
Cool man, glad you dig em, more to come.
is it possible to burn your tracks straight to cd in 2.0?
No, you have to export them first as wav then burn to a cd with your program of choice.
oh one more question is 2.0 update available on the regular maschine? thanks
Yeah you can use it with the regular controller
aight so i bought the 2.0 update..everythings been downloaded and is activated…but yet i still have the same layout…no mixer
Did you open the right shortcut? It doesn’t replace the old one, you will have both on your computer, the new one is orange.
Hi, I was about to ask it. If i buy the upgrade, will I have the both softwares?
Yes, it will not replace 1.8, it’s a separate program.
Oh, that will be nice. Thank you SJ !
No problem
Problem with Studio Controller and software not talking. I can access the mixer in the software but it does not update the mixer on controller and vise versa, I can access the mix view on the controller but it will not call up the mixer on the software. The mixer works from software and controller. I rebooted and stilled no solution.
This is the correct operation. The mixer button only controls the mixer on the controller. The software view does not follow the hardware mixer.
I would have never thought that to be the case, since everything else is so connected. Thanks. At least I’m not crazy…tried everything to make it work. lol
Yeah the mixer button is supposed to allow you to see the mixer on the hardware while doing other stuff in the software.
