Hey what’s good fam!
Had a question from a member on how to map macros to their external MIDI device.
They use the Mikro and have another controller full of knobs that they want to map to different macros in Maschine.
It’s really a lot more flexible in Maschine 2.0 as the macro pages are pretty much unlimmited, also, you don’t have to map a parameter to a macro first before you can learn it.
So if you have a plugin loaded or an internal effect, module, whatever, and you want to map any knob to your controller you can.
You also have the option of setting up your own macro pages with collections of parameters and you can still map that to your controller as well.
Of course any macro you setup is automatically ready to be controlled from Maschine, but in the case of Maschine Mikro that means a single knob at a time.

Is it still the case that although you can map all of your controls to an external controller you can’t record the automation to a pattern by pushing automate on the controller?
Unfortunately, yes
Thanks Saint Joe…they really should fix that…you could really map out some cool automations with iPads or other touch surfaces that have a whole different feel.
I totally agree man, hopefully they do.
Hi. My problem is that I can’t use the learn function because of the way my controller is working. I want to map the Y-axis of my mpe controller to a filter cutoff. Is there a possibility to select a certain CC number for a macro without using the learn function? It was possible in Maschine 1 but I couldn’t find it in 2.0. Because my controller sends multiple different CCs when I touch it.
Unfortunately we can’t assign CCs directly again yet, you can add direct CCs in the modulation lane though. I thought I read they were going to add it back on their roadmap for macro assigning but I could be mistaken lol. Pretty sure it’s coming soon though.
