Hey what’s good fam, back with another quick tip for you on the Maschine 1.8 update.
There were a lot of smaller workflow improvements that I think many will enjoy.
Two of those were the new quick select shortcut for events and the quick erase shortcut.
Personally I really love the quick erase shortcut and it was something I personally pushed for, for a while, glad to see it in there.

Nice little feature
Yeah, I love stuff like this
I like this feature a lot as well. Don’t like that snare pattern you just laid…Bam!!! now it’s gone lol!!! Excellent NI!!!!
Indeed fam, I wanted to see this one happen bad 🙂
That’s good stuff right there! Workflow improvement for sure
Indeed bro, no doubt about it
how do you do this on the first maschine controller since the event option is not there
It’s the same on the original controller too, they just added the event labled on the new one. The button still works the same
Oh wo….just spent the last ten minutes playing around with all the new SEL:ECT/EVENT features….
BANANAS!
This is great – now I can select individual events, or groups of events and tweak everything from velocity, to pitch, position and note length.
GREAT workflow improvement – I always thought the old way of selecting events was clunky.
Thanks SJ.
Yes, the new select screen is awesome, I’m waiting for my big MK2 to get here before I do a video on that but yes, it’s really powerful!
Ah….right – I guess the limited screen real-estate on the Mikro makes that a bit different?
Also, don’t forget the old REC + ERASE = REPLACE function kiddies – still very handy – as is the ERASE + PAD on the fly.
Yeah for sure lol
Maschie is just getting tighter by the minute…. I’ve been bust finishing tracks off in Live for a while…. but jamming on Maschine this arvo reminded me of just how damn FUN Maschine is.
As long as they keep refining the workflow of Maschine until it gets super silky smooth, all will be good.
totally agree fam!
this is fast!!!! thanx
Indeed man, love it.
Thanks for the info SaintJoe.
No doubt fam
Shhhhhweeeeeeeeet!
Yeah brotha! Look at you all excited with your new MK2 lol.
Dude i made like 7 instruments last night and started a beat with them lol
so weird but i can’t get this to work on my mk2 controller?!
ahhhh haaaaa!!!! it’s because i was using machine inside of ableton which was synced to scratch live and for some reason it won’t allow me to use all the controls like they are supposed to in ableton via maschine…. when i ran it in stand alone, it worked fine! any suggestions around this? i just normally use the software as a work around…
Hahahaha, sorry for the late reply fam, been teaching a live class for the past two days. Glad you got it going though 🙂
as always thanks for your help broth!
No problem fam!
