So since the Maschine 1.8 update I’ve been getting a lot of questions on navigation of the new features directly from the hardware of the Maschine Mikro.
Since timestretch is one of the biggest new features, I made a public tutorial on how to pull it up from the controller
Of course I have more coming on the Mikro and how it works with the update for the MT fam!

I followed what you did step by step but when I go to hit “Apply” I get a message from Maschine that reads:
“Could not perform editing. Write protected?”
Make sure you have full admin rights to the folder that the sample is located in
I have 3 external hard drives but one of the hardrives (that contains this sample) I used when I had a PC…
Ive just switched to MAC, I cant save on it anymore but I use it. It has 250 gigs of VST’s, sample chops, etc.. Ive used some of the samples before but never tried timestretch to just now.
So how do I make sure if I have full admin rights so I can use the samples on there?
If you can’t save to it anymore you probably can’t edit anything that’s on it either, maybe something with how it was setup on the pc. I would try moving that sample to one of your other drives just to test the theory, I bet it would work on another drive and the issue is with that specific drive. Maybe you can do a “repair permissions” on the drive.
