So this tutorial is for those that like to setup keyboard splits or keyboard performances, I’m going to show you how to do this directly inside of Maschine.
This allows you to use Maschine as an instrument rack for setting up multiple performance sounds or key splits with however many sounds you want to play at the same time.
It’s actually pretty straight forward but opens up another door of flexibility for those that need it.

Thanks for the info SaintJoe.Can u make a vid using SampleTank and its diferent midi channels.
No doubt fam glad to help. As for sampletank, I no longer have it installed but you can’t route multiple channels of plugins in Maschine like you can in a DAW yet. You can’t currently send more than one midi channel to a plugin loaded in maschine.
Beast with Maschine! Dope vid.
hahahaha, word fam!
Never wanted to do a keyboard split. how do you get it not to split. Posted a comment in MT Connect. Please help
You can just reset your group/instrument.
Thanks fam !!!!

Hi,
Is it possible to use 2 midi keyboards with Maschine at the same time?
Yeah you can use as many midi devices as you wish
Hi.
I can’t find this option anymore in version 2 and above.
I can set different midi channels per pad but not range in keyboard:(
Do you know if they have remove, or can you help me please ?
/Jörgen
Unfortunately it’s one of the many things they changed/removed in version 2, we no longer have control directly over the range of an instrument in terms of notes in Maschine.
Ohhhh man that is absolutely mental. Why would they do that?
They actually removed a few useful things in version 2 that were in the original. They of course added some features as well, but there were some pretty useful features that got dropped.
Ahhhhh man that is a bugger. Is there any way of a work around i.e. using the Battery drum sampler or other way to program a midi keyboard? I’m desperate to have one bass sound on the left and another sound voicing on the right for live performance. Cheers
If your midi keyboard has the option to do splits I would say load a bass on one pad and sound on another, then give them their own midi channel. That way you can set the split up on your keyboard itself.
Can we do this in the maschine studio yet?
Nope, still no control over the note range of the instruments midi mode.
So, I’m curious if this is still the same…i.e. Maschine provides no way to change the key range in order to create simple splits. I certainly couldn’t find any way of doing it from within Maschine. That said, it is pretty straightforward to do it using something like Bome’s MIDI Translator Pro. There, I just created actions for Note On and Note Off, along with a rule to switch MIDI channels based on key range. In Maschine, I just mapped the MIDI inputs for each sound accordingly. I’m sure there are other ways of doing it as well. However, it… Read more »
Nope unfortunately they have not added this to the software yet
Hi. This tutorial is for Maschine software v1? I can’t find “Sound Midi Settings” in Maschine 2. How to split the keyboard in Maschine 2?
This is an option they removed from Maschine 2, we no longer have direct control over the input range for MIDI sent to sounds. You can only set the channel and source on the input tab for each sound.
