Hey what’s up MT fam?
Got a quick Maschine tip for you today based on some questions I’ve been seeing with those using Maschine in a DAW.
A lot of users love the MIDI drag and drop options in Maschine but it can get confusing when moving from kits and chops to keyboard mode or instruments.
This quick tutorial shows you how to properly setup Maschine for drag and drop when using a pad that’s in keyboard mode, and also explains why it needs to be done this way so you’re familiar with the whole process.

Outstanding tutorial again and really helpful for me, thanks SJ !!

No problem fam, glad to help!
I have a whole kit loaded. So, when I go into keyboard mode for a particular pad and go to sound midi settings for that pad it’s telling me c3 is my root, c3 is my low note, and c3 is my high note; when, in fact, b2 and f3 are my note ranges. Do you have any ideas as to why this or what i’ve missed?
Make sure you didn’t do a “midi batch setup” and set the sounds to midi notes, if so, go into the group drop down, midi batch settings, and “reset to default”.
Then you should be able to set your individual sounds as you wish.
there it is… thanks a bunch fam! Yah bless!
Glad to help fam!
Yo wassup guys? How do you drag and drop sounds/midi notes INSIDE Maschine? It seems to me that there used to be a way to do this. I’m using plug-in heavy groups and I need to relieve my processors. Wasn’t there a way to drag and drop WITHIN Maschine (kind of like bouncing down tracks?) then you could turn off the plug-ins and thus save processor power? Hit me up.
Thanks Fam!
You can only drag the audio internally, check this out

Can you tell me how to work it out in Maschine Studio? Unfortunately you get no midi option for the pad (right click) .
