Yo what’s good fam, this tutorial video is in response to a recent question I had from a member on how to apply fx to your external synths when using them with maschine.
Even if your synth comes with it’s own editor, you can’t put effects directly on the editor as that’s just the midi output, it will not impact the sound
I show how to setup your input routing so that you can add your fx directly to your synths in realtime instead of doing it after you sample. We all know how something sounds while playing it will determine what you do with your music, so adding creative fx before you sample your gear in, lets you get creative with the sound and pull even more life out of your synths no matter if they are new or old!
enjoy!

Yeah brotha!
This video and one knock did sparked an idea, that I wanted to try for a while. Would you make an extended video showing how to route maschine to hardware for effects and then back into maschine for the software FX.
I would if I had hardware fx LOL
Yo, why you wild like this man?! This is ill!!!!!!
hahaaaaaaaaaa
ur mikro is pimpin joe!!
hahahahaha, thanks fam!
WICKED BRO THANKS …AGAIN !
No problem fam!
Is there a way to route fx from maschine to an external synth inside of a DAW (FL)? Say for exampe I have Group A in maschine linked to Midi out 1, and I also have a kontakt instrument loaded in the pattern selector of FL ALSO routed to midi out 1.
I have tried this, and it has not worked so far,Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance
MIDI doesn’t send audio data, so that will not work. If you want to route audio between the two, you’d need an audio interface that allows routing between two apps. Or some sort of software like wormhole, soundflower, etc.
Thanks saintjoe! I’ll definitely look into that. I know I’ve been bombarding you with questions these past few weeks, I was expecting a little different experience as far as being able to use ALL of the features of maschine, but that’s not the case when using maschine inside a DAW.
That being said man I am totally loving my Maschine Studio and your site has been incredibly helpful. Thanks for what you do man!
No doubt man, no need to apologize, I’m here to help!
