Yo what’s up MT Fam! Like many of you, my workflow with Maschine has changed multiple times over the years. However, for the past few years I’ve really settled in to using Maschine as a dedicated sound module.
In this workflow, I have a Mac Mini dedicated to running the Maschine software, along with various NKS libraries. I have my Komplete Kontrol keyboard hooked up to it, and I treat it as if it were a standalone keyboard workstation. I record audio from it into whatever sampler/sequencer I’m using at the time, just like I do with all of my other hardware. I can also quickly use the Maschine controller with this setup if I want to use the pads.
I dig this workflow because I still get that hands on control, and can always customize the sounds I want to use.
As I mentioned, this has been my workflow for quite a while, it is super flexible and most of all I enjoy using my software this way.
Let me know what you think! Of course if you have any questions feel free to ask.

The only caveat is I lose the option of scale mode and I have to put it in MIDI mode when I play drums on the pad but for everything else melodic I can just play it on my A25. It’s not a perfect workflow and you probably… Read more »
