Sooo…my good buddy Flux is a mad scientist when it comes to Maschine, FX, drums, sounds, etc.
He put together a new Maschine project that has two of his own custom drum kits, and 6 multi fx
Complete with automation patterns for the fx and junk
As we’ve been getting into FX more lately, I thought this was a great thing to share with the fam
Study it, it shows a lot of what we’ve covered in regards to the creative routing and automation you can do
Here is a video explaining how they work
You can download it below
thanks alott big up flux
thanks this drum kit is dope !
Dope stuff bruh!!
Looking forward to messing with this tomorrow.
Oooooh MT fam just keeps on giving. Keen to check this out when I get home and to have a little play.
TBH, I’ve only messed with maschines effects to any great degree when doing MT workouts – I just find tweaking the automation too twiddly, plus, when I export to live, it doesn’t make much sense to have applied significant FX and \or automation.
BUT, as always I’m hoping that Maschine will evolve into a more self-contained DAW, so time spent learning the effects and routing functionality is time well spent.
Thanks Flux!
FX are useful in sound design also, not just when doing automation. FX can be used to get a certain character or sound to your instruments and samples 🙂
Yeah, I frequently use the compression, overdrive, to get a bit more edge on some individual sounds – but not really much else.
I tend to apply my delays and reverbs in Live.
The ‘Ice’, Metaverb and Resoverb can produce some interesting effect though, but can sound pretty ‘plastic’ if overdone.
dude these drums are on some next ish thanks flux
thanks guys hope you all enjoy it… and here is a little tip…
I hid another pack of instruments somewhere on the site… wonder who will get em first… 🙂
very cool – thanks man – sounds very dope – though I’m still pretty confused about all the effects routing – – will have to watch more about fx….
Since we been dealing with FX lately, I’m gonna do a general overview of how FX are routed in Maschine, plan to have that up this week. Would have been last week but, well, plans change lol.
bring it man – looking forward to it….no rush though – mt is an endless source – PLENTY to keep me busy while i wait…
Nice one Flux – like I said, I haven’t really gotten too fancy with my routing of FX in the past, but playing with your template really helped reinforce the methods.
Thanks a bunch!
Just another question….
Wouldn’t it be more ‘economical’ to simply spread the same amount of FX over, say, two groups (an FX for each pad) – rather than gobbling up 6 whole groups with FX as you have done with this template?
@citizen… the only reason I have “gobled up” those groups with FX is because I was sending this here… since I can’t save out groups and patterns seperately I did everything into one project. once you load up the project you should be able to load each of these fx groups seperately after u close the project. (correct me if I’m wrong joe. (I don’t think u have to resave each individual group)) but yeah the only reasone there are 6 on there is cause I wanted to share 8 groups with ya… it’s not meant for u to chain… Read more »
any hints at all on the hiding place? 🙂
hints… yep…. talk to me, talk to your friends
community is a good thing.
an in the mean time check out this groovey tutorial for the fx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rymgCRS2GxM
anyone got the hiding spot???
Ey Flux, thanks man. Some real dope patterns and some freaky FX. I never really messed with all that, but this has got me thinkin of all kinds of new routes to try! Good looks man.
Oh, btw, where is the secret stash……please? lol!
the secret stash will no longer be secret this weekend… 🙂
good works, thanks very much man
nice…thanx much…
cant wait to get to this tutorial. So sick !
enjoy the drums man 🙂
