Sometimes you may only like certain sounds from certain kits in the Maschine factory library and don’t want to load the whole kit to use those sounds.
Well it’s very quick and easy to build your own custom kits out by loading and pulling sounds from the factory kits and putting them into your own new kit.
Once you save that new kit you can load your favorite sounds any time you wish
This is just a short tutorial in response to a question I saw on MT Connect about creating custom sound banks/kits.

Cool bro! I can make good use of this 🙂 thanksz
No doubt man enjoy!
Nice Tip! Can you copy the effects that some of the sounds have to your new kit?
Yep! If you could the pad it will copy all the modules with it 🙂
Have fun!
A real time saver thanks homie…
Glad to help fam!
Cool video man,so simple yet opens up a lot of creative possibilties.
No doubt bro!
vieo is down
Try it now and let me know fam, thanks
up n running im still having a truncate issue but i think i can figure it out…draggn the sample off the hard disk worked i think i just gotta stop smokin while im on the maschine lol
hahahaha lol, no doubt
Man, I ain’t gonna tell u how I was doin this. Something told me to go ahead and watch this. I’m glad I did
Glad to help fam!
hope you can help me i deleted all of my kicks from all of the kits how do i bring them back i was try to re organize my sounds
Have you went into preferences for your maschine library and did a rescan? It should pull up everything
i did and it didnt come up its the same
open the browser, go through disk tab, and browse to your maschine folder/samplers, find the one labeled kicks, and do an import/rescan on that specific folder.
ok thanks i think that should do it
Cool fam, let me know
Hey Man, How can I do this in 2.0?
Thanks.
You can do it the same way in 2.0
Thanks saintjoe,
I just wash`t using click and command key on the mac.
How can I save the customise kit to show in the browser.
My bad, right-click on the group to save it
Is there any way to do this completely through the maschine hardware? For example, say in Group A I have snare I really like and I want to copy just that snare sound to Group B. Is there a way to accomplish that without going through the software interface?
Yep. Press and hold duplicate, hit the pad you want to copy, then go to a new group and hit the empty pad you want to place it on.
Thank you! Now that you’ve pointed it out, it’s so obvious!
No problem!
Hey saintjoe, I’ve got another question that’s probably super simple, but I can’t figure it out. Say I’ve I’m starting with a totally blank project and I load a kit from Battery into the bottom left pad (C3 in this example). When I switch to pad mode I can obviously play all sounds from that kit, but when I go into step sequence mode and plot out a pattern, I only seem to be able to sequence whatever sound is in C3. How do I switch it to be able to sequence the sound in C4 from the step sequencer… Read more »
After messing with it for quite a while I think I’ve basically figured it out. It looks like Maschine treats VST kits and “Maschine kits” differently. It appears that the hardware step sequencer is monophonic. You can alter the note being played by changing its pitch with the hardware but you’re left only being able to trigger one note/sound from that VST kit at a time. Kinda’ a strange limitation if you ask me.
Yeah, on vst kits you can change the root note of the pad to sequence different sounds, since it is more of a keygroup spread across the keys and not a sound per pad.
