Yo what’s good MT Fam, just wanted to share a tutorial on sound design in Maschine with Kontakt 5.
What I really dig about designing sounds in Maschine is it’s so quick to save what you made.
Yeah, you can save multis in kontakt and all that, but I find saving custom sounds in Maschine much better for my workflow!
Check this out, I share a few simple tips I always use when designing new sounds in Kontakt.

Brilliant! Luv the Reto machine
No doubt, love the omni feature in kontakt. And being able to quickly save the sound in maschine just allows for experimentation
Hey man…you do have that Chord feature always available for any instrument you want. Go under the hood on an instrument by hitting the wrench icon and go to the script editor. Select an empty script and select PRESET – FACTORY – HARMONIZE,
Make it work!
Matt
Yeah, I’ve messed with that a few times in k4, I like the simplicity and interface the one in here 🙂
Plus, I’d like to be able to use it on everything I’ve stacked, sorta like a container from gr5 for scripting!
Thanks for the input as always bro!
Will give harmonizer another try.
I watched this late last night and was thought I replied..LOL. Must have been tired. ANYWAY..this is GREAT. I am glad you showed that omni feature because that makes this soooooo easy to stack. Love it. Thanks man great vid as always
No doubt brotha lol, yeah man, it really speeds up my sound creation. I hate having to go in and change the channel every time.
So this is like the other synth stacking video you made using that non NI app, right? Is there a need for that other app then if I have Kontakt 5?
Well, this only works with kotnakt sounds, the other one lets you stack any vsts you wish, so both are useful. If you just want to stack in kontakt this is the way. If you want to mix kontakt with massive and dcam synth squad, you need engine.
Ahhh…time to redownload engine to my new build.
What other video was that? Thanks

Ha thats fast! Thanks bro!
no problem!
Sick! I do have a question though. I’m kinda behind on the videos, so this may have been covered already. Can you browse user sounds through the hardware?
You mean stuff in the user bank? Yes. If you mean user sounds in Kontakt, you would have to save them first so they show up in your user bank.
I mean like how you selected Paddy Stack in Software. Would you have been able to see that in hardware as well?
Yep, shows up under the user bank on the hardware 🙂
Sweet! I haven’t ever used that feature, so I was unsure. Thanks brotha. Will have to check this out when I can sit down in from of my baby again.
Nice video SaintJoe.
Hey Joe nice Vid bro was wondering how do I get retro machine I just installed complete 8. and wanted to mess around with it.
it will come as a download sent to your email, if you don’t get it next week send a support ticket to NI so they can get it to you
Thanks bro
Got another Kontakt ? This is driving me nuts!!! Ok So I created a nice bass sound and String sound in Kontakt using the omni function to stack the sounds. how do I save them to use in other tracks when i need them???. Guess I’m asking how to create and save sounds in Kontakt and be able to pull them up in logic or any daw for use in production. thanks!!! Sound like a vid tutorial fam.
Save it as a multi instead of just the sound
Thanks Fam this is a deep program Komplete 8 lots to learn here…. 🙂
no doubt fam!
Cool vid i never was able to stack sounds in Kontakt , real happy to see this one!
Offropic, i see hollywood wind and cinematic guitars? How did yo get those, arnt that 3th party Kontakt plug ins?
Peace!
No problem man. As for the libraries, you van buy them like any other kontakt library, from the company site or places like big fish and best service.
Snap, i always thought you only coold open them via youre HD and not from within Kontakt playerlist so i never botherd to give 3th parties my attention lol
It depends, not all 3rd party libraries are “powered by Kontakt” which involves a special license so they show up in the library tab. There are many Kontakt format libraries that aren’t Kontakt Player licensed, those you have to open from the HD/Browser and will not show up in the Player library tab.
Okay thanks bro, when i See one i want i ask them if it is a Kontakt licensed plug in 😀 (sounds stupid maybe but i just love when it is shown in the playerlist , as wel as looks as the workflow lol)
I like kontakt player libraries too man lol
wow that was a lot of fun playing around in there, so much untapped possibilities i don’t even know what to do… lol thanks saint joe
No problem man, all about experimenting 🙂
