Hey what’s good fam, this is just a quick fx automation tip for a really common way to use reverb.
Sometimes you just want the reverb to play on a certain hit or specific hits in your pattern, this tutorial shows how to quickly automate your reverb (or any effect) in Maschine so that it only plays on a specific hit or hits in your track.
I know little tips like these can come in handy so stick it in your toolbox for when you need it.

Damn this is wonderful!

I still don’t get why NI sticks with those silly damn vertical lines as opposed to drawing traditional automation with lines, like in Ableton.
Those things are so fiddly to work with – especially when you are trying to draw/record/adjust a gradual curve.
because they are really made to do by hand, by turning the knobs, I just try to force using it this way, it definitely needs improvement for actually drawing automation, but imo it wasn’t made for that purpose…they want you to do your automation by actually turning the knobs
Simple Yet very powerful great tip
I love sharing these little tips man, so useful.
Great vid
Glad to help
Just quickly, I was doing this today and i wondered how do you get the screen to follow the tape head?
Cheers St J
I’m not sure what you mean?
when i hit play you can see cursor flowing through the bars but only what uyou have on the screen, then it disappears off the screen and i then need to use the mouse or zoom out to see where the playhead position is.
I hope that makes sense.
You can zoom in/out to make your pattern smaller so everything is on your screen at the same time.
