This is dope it reminds of the early Ejay days. I used to love that program just because you could do crazy chops and stack samples on each other and get crazy combo’s
Now if TJay can just come up with a clock vst? Maschine will be complete. you know something that can tell you how long your songs are in mins and secs we will be in there.
Come on TJay you can do it!!!!!
wheres the Paypal donate button I’ll contribute to the cause lol
of all nights to have open house at my kids school… I want to load this up and make some mute magic..but alas being a good parent calls… I will be in late though..lol
Damn I love This Remind Me Of Fl Studio Something I First Started Making Beats On, Thanks An Whole Lot Tjay and Saint Joe, Im Ready To Make Some Magic Now, But I Cant I Got To Spend Some Time With The Wifey , But Tomorrow Like Chris Brown Would Say Its On And Popin…
HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM…………. I’m going to have to seriously consider this…. Nice one St Joe! Question though – assuming you do all of your drums on one group and use the other groups for your instrumentation, what advantage is this vs. just using groups/scenes and inserting/removings scenes for when you want it to play? Or is the power of this when you have like 16 different instruments playing (which there aren’t enough groups to separate each one out)?
The power is you have mote control over your track. You are not stuck with set patterns repeating, you can quickly drop stuff in and out. It doesn’t have to be a group of sounds, you can use multiple groups like we do now, but its hard to have a 4 bar bass part and bring a guitar in for just one bar without using up another pattern. With this, your arranging can be more fluid, remember you asked if you could arrange like in acid? Now you can 🙂
Aw damn, SJ! When Tjay posted about this I knew it was gonna be a really useful tool, but this? Pfffffff!
‘IT’S ALIVE!’ LOL
No more interuptions to your workflow spent figuring out how best to arrange your track – this is an awesome way to get things down very quickly.
Knock man, I think 7 minutes is way too long now fella! lol. Your challenges need to be arranged in full from now on. Haha – just joking, but it’s pretty exciting to know how much of a time saver this is.
dam this ish is crazy. i love my MT fam , so many doors just opened up and i still havnt went threw the old doors that opened up for me with other tutorials.. MASCHINE IS GOD Now lol
Once I got out of beta mode I was planning on releasing it as set your own price. with default at like $9.99 or something (but if someone wanted they could put $0).
Maybe I’ll have to reconsider now haha.
My end goal is to pay for Komplete 8 (Ultimate?) with it 😛
TG…man I agree….LOL… I sit there with a four bar hot track and just mute and play with it then i am like…ok… now what..I dont feel like working with scenes… this is a gooood addition
Glad yall dig the workflow, Tjay made it possible, I just put the science on the arrangement, without his tool I couldn’t do it and wouldn’t have thought about doing it.
Ahahahaha, no doubt fam, I was we as the fam all contribute to the “help tjay get komplete 8 ultimate” fund lol, then we can keep it in house mwhahahahahahahaha!!!
I’m down with that. He totally deserves it. Even if we all just kick like $15 bucks his way. I’ve spent more on much less. This is a godsend for us, and he did it without us even asking.
Yeah, like the rest of us, one of my long standing gripes with Maschine has been the arrangement tool.
Tjay = the originator
SJ = the innovator
🙂
Just one thing SJ – what if I wanted to feed different patterns into my Mute group? (your mute group pattern/arranger was being only fed one pattern for each instrument)
Would I have to have a new Mute Group patttern, (and scene) for each new instrument/drum pattern?
Right SJ – so it would still be a bit of a hybrid system for now?
Still, this is miles ahead of the current arrangment tool. Being able to actually see how long a section is relative to the rest of the arrangment is just SOOOOO much more intuitive.
Thanks for breaking it down so thouroughly SJ – I got it first time. I’m really starting to get a better understanding of routing now – its opening up a lot of possibilities.
Well if you want to use actual different patterns yes, but if your different scenes usually mean specific instruments are dropped or you have a drum pattern with and without hi hats, then you could still make it work rather easily using the routing and mutes.
But even still, using this with scenes will still give you more control, because you have control over what plays and when, unlike scenes which are pretty static.
Hahahaha, no doubt, it’s sick man, I knew it soon as I saw it, just started working wit it and made it happen.
Lol @ the debate, no one cares man, we only want the folks that want to be down with us you know?
No point in arguing with folks that don’t want to pay, THEY are the reason we put a fee on what we do. We only want those that actually appreciate the work!
So we thank all those like you that support the site!
I’m pretty sure they know we want stuff like this, I know I’ve been screaming it from jump, along with others. NI is usually a few steps ahead man lol….but I still like to push them anyway!
I just started a petition here in Stockholm for u guys getting the Nobel price LOL! If I get enough signatures I will continue down to Berlin and visit NI’s headquarters.
“NI is usually a few steps ahead”… well, mayby in THEORY, but you really showed them how we want things done around here.
What a bunch of clever and nice guys in this fam!!!
Wooooo man! man! man! around here (island)
I’m only dude that use HUSH. And my inspiration is in constant increase 🙂
i’m proud to be a MT FAM membership really
I may be jumping the gun by asking this because I’m @work and can’t look @ my Maschine til I get home but uh. How do you have more than one sound on each sound track??
Whaaaaaat!!!! No words homie I love you for this son!! Ha ha I’ve been having this issue from the beginning too so I decided to check out this site for curiousity sakes bang there it is!! You do realize you and knock are THE maschine pioneers leading the way for all of us. As an old mpc head I can appreciate the way you guys open things up to translate those favorite features through maschine excellent work gentlemen!! Sorry for the long post but the excitement is overwhellllllming lol!!
No doubt fam, appreciate the support! We just want to push it to the limits and so as many different ways to work with Maschine as possible as we know everyone has different workflows. Glad you decided to check us out fam, we work hard to bring yall the best Maschine content around 🙂
Hey Joe! How did you get all of your drums into one sound module? Thanks man, this is definitely a method of sequencing i’m going to be trying with hush.
If I route the track mute outs to another group of sounds with the hush vst, I think I could do the track mutes and draw it in like this! Correct me if I’m wrong though
Well the difference between the linear sequencing mode and pad mutes was the position that you put hush vst in. If I want to use hush for my mute automations and use it to sequence linearly, I still only get one output per channel, so I would have to route my mute outs to another hush for the sequencing part right? Is that overkill or unnecessary?
I’m just thinking out loud cuz I still wanna use scenes sometimes..lol..idk..I may mess around and do a screen cast with QuickTime for fun.
Man, just signed up yesterday and have been blown away by the quality and the support on this site. This alone has solved the biggest problem I had with Maschine and will definitely open up the door for actually finishing songs!
Glad to help fam, we here to make sure you find your workflow! So let us know if you have any questions you don’t see answered yet as we are constantly adding new stuff.
Welcome to the fam! Make sure you setup your MT Connect profile too if you haven’t already 🙂
Just thought i’d pop back and say that I played around with this tonight and it’s amazing. It is actually now a useable sequencer (still with a few limitations but nothing you can’t work around)
I also reserved a few Hush tracks to control the automation of FX sends I have set up which is a great way to trigger linked effects on the drum tracks (which i have separated in the Hush group).
Big thanks to TJ for the plug in and Saintjoe for figuring out how to turn it into a sequencer.
wow this is awesome. now i arrange my tracks directly in maschine and export the stemps to mix it in my daw…. easier and faster way .. thanks for this excellent tip
Excellent ! This is a WIN !!!!
Told you bruh!
FTW!
This is dope it reminds of the early Ejay days. I used to love that program just because you could do crazy chops and stack samples on each other and get crazy combo’s
Yeah man, really quick to arrange!
Dannnng…. I think I just created a beast!!
I had though of using the gate modes at a scene level but for sure not using it as a linear sequencer.
Im deff going to use this method (at least until NI figures something out).
Some food for thought: Route output from a hush track (or multiple) into another Hush…
Mad Scientist!
I knew you would love it 🙂
Yessssss! As soon as I saw the down option my gears started turning.
You just mentioned jBridge. What issue did you have? I haven’t installed jBridge on my new system yet. I’m waiting for a 40 transfer to complete lol
After a while the GUI didn’t open. But I don’t really need it to be open. I’ll just make a group and save it.
Ahh word
Luvin it! This is the way to work… I was going to bed but had to watch the 2nd install.
Just brilliant thanks guys!
Yes indeed!
Now if TJay can just come up with a clock vst? Maschine will be complete. you know something that can tell you how long your songs are in mins and secs we will be in there.
Come on TJay you can do it!!!!!
wheres the Paypal donate button I’ll contribute to the cause lol
Donate is coming haha. I will have a page setup in a few once Im ready for next version to go out.
I think I might be able to create a clock plugin, I know I can get some info from host about timing. I will look into it.
Only downside, I think Machine hides the plugin window when the pad selected. Im not what happens with Master channel.
Me too! TJ you rock bro!
No doubt, this is great lol, you know my eyes got wide when I saw how it worked, I immediately thought….ARRANGER!
of all nights to have open house at my kids school… I want to load this up and make some mute magic..but alas being a good parent calls… I will be in late though..lol
yessssssssssss….handle yo biz bruh!
I’m gonna put a hurting on the pads like I was Chris Brown as well.
Lol yall wild, but yeah, it’s very flexible, let’s you “paint” in your arrangement, dopeness!
HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM…………. I’m going to have to seriously consider this…. Nice one St Joe! Really appreciate this Tjay – thanks.
Yeah, as soon as I started messing with it, the lightbulb went off in my head. Great workflow for more intricate arrangements.
No problem.
Yeah I knew it would be a game changer…. but didnt think it would open up the options this big.
Man you know I gotta exploit to the fullest! lol
LOL@Jon…indeed Bro…indeed… I think I may change it to the 4 minute workout using this method..lol
You wild son lol
lol
dam this ish is crazy. i love my MT fam , so many doors just opened up and i still havnt went threw the old doors that opened up for me with other tutorials.. MASCHINE IS GOD Now lol
Hahahaha, we try to explore the deepest parts of the creative brain lol
Tjay, how much will it cost the MT family for you to NEVER, EVER release this to the general public? lol 😉
Haha dont want others to have this power!!!?
Once I got out of beta mode I was planning on releasing it as set your own price. with default at like $9.99 or something (but if someone wanted they could put $0).
Maybe I’ll have to reconsider now haha.
My end goal is to pay for Komplete 8 (Ultimate?) with it 😛
Ahahahaha, no doubt, lol @ Jon hahahaha!
I got 5 on that! Lol
thx st joe u always make more understandable
glad to help fam!
cant findwhere to download hush vst
https://maschinetutorials.com/forum/free-fx-plugins/hush-midi-triggered-gate
check this post, I have a sectioned marked “Downloads”
This thing is getting major hits! Again, excellent job Tjay!
Yeah didnt expected it to pick up this fast.
Dude!! Bro!! Do u know how many 4 bar ideas I never move on from. I am so gonna try this muting game and see what I get. Good one Joe!
TG…man I agree….LOL… I sit there with a four bar hot track and just mute and play with it then i am like…ok… now what..I dont feel like working with scenes… this is a gooood addition
I was the same. I would get a hot loop but didnt really want to mess around with scenes. So would have to get setup in logic to arrange how I want.
Glad yall dig the workflow, Tjay made it possible, I just put the science on the arrangement, without his tool I couldn’t do it and wouldn’t have thought about doing it.
I love this place!! lol
Me too man! YAAA!
Man thats why I stay logged in man if you sleep on MT you might miss something
Yo Tjay you gon get dat Komplete 8 son wit dis you might as well shoot for komplete ultimate lol
and I got faith in ya bro you can make the clock thing happen
I got tracks to finish redbull here I come I need wings
Ahahahaha, no doubt fam, I was we as the fam all contribute to the “help tjay get komplete 8 ultimate” fund lol, then we can keep it in house mwhahahahahahahaha!!!
I’m down with that. He totally deserves it. Even if we all just kick like $15 bucks his way. I’ve spent more on much less. This is a godsend for us, and he did it without us even asking.
Word son, I couldn’t have come up with this method without the plugin.
WOW!!!!! This is incredible!

yeah you can feed different patterns or do whatever you want, if you want a different pattern, you’d just have to use a new scene.
So you could still use the scenes like we do now, you just have better control over the arrangement.
Aiight man, time to take the plunge!!! Thx again St. Joe (and for breaking it down so easily)

AWWWWWWW MAAAAN!!!!
Maschine is a Linear sequencer as well as everything else!!! YeeeeaAAH
Yo SJ Yo Knock??? Get TJay on the team – Tha boy got skills!!!!
Theres a debate on the NI forums about paying for tutorials and this is why stay down with the MT Fam…
Thanks for the knowledge
1Luv
Hahahaha, no doubt, it’s sick man, I knew it soon as I saw it, just started working wit it and made it happen.

This is bigger than the invention of sliced bread! Do you know what this mean? Sickness man…. Sickness!!
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss lol, I knew exactly what it means, ask Knock how I was on the phone explaining it to him when I figured it out lol.
haha
I think the bar has been officially raised.
Indeed bro. Now we just need NI to make their own arranger work something like this, and let us record audio directly into it 🙂
I agree and I hope N.I. is taking notes. N.I. needs to go head and put you and TJay on staff.
I’m pretty sure they know we want stuff like this, I know I’ve been screaming it from jump, along with others. NI is usually a few steps ahead man lol….but I still like to push them anyway!
How dope would it be if NI just bought this from him?! Lol I would love to see that happen for him. Total long shot, but it would be really cool.
LOL Hot son lol
I just started a petition here in Stockholm for u guys getting the Nobel price LOL! If I get enough signatures I will continue down to Berlin and visit NI’s headquarters.
“NI is usually a few steps ahead”… well, mayby in THEORY, but you really showed them how we want things done around here.
What a bunch of clever and nice guys in this fam!!!
I KNOW your music will benefit man, your stuff is so intricate! LOL @ the petition, get it going lol hahahaha!
Wooooo man! man! man! around here (island)
I’m only dude that use HUSH. And my inspiration is in constant increase 🙂
i’m proud to be a MT FAM membership really
NICE! Got that exlusive on the island! LOL
Glad to have ya bro!
This here just saved machines lifeline.
LOL that’s whatup fam!
Thanks for the video that shows what the Hush VST can do for Maschine and I have to say thanks to TJay for making this great VST.
NO problem at all bro!
No prob man!
I may be jumping the gun by asking this because I’m @work and can’t look @ my Maschine til I get home but uh. How do you have more than one sound on each sound track??
ex. you had (multiple) drums in an individual sound slot.
I loaded it as an instrument, it was a patch from kontakt, which lays out across the keys.
Oooo gotcha now it makes sense.
Cool 🙂
GAME CHANGER
Whatup fam, have fun wit it!
Whaaaaaat!!!! No words homie I love you for this son!! Ha ha I’ve been having this issue from the beginning too so I decided to check out this site for curiousity sakes bang there it is!! Ahahahaha, you wild bruh 🙂
Hey,guys I need to know where can I get this hush vst.
check this post
https://maschinetutorials.com/advanced-sequencing-part-1-using-a-group-as-a-multi-track-sequencer-and-easy-track-mute-automation
Thanks S.J,you the man.
no problem fam, glad to help
Huge leap forward for us Maschine users ! Big ups TJay and SJ . Buzzing !!!
Awesome man, enjoy!!
MT ROCKS !
thank you sir!
Hey Joe! How did you get all of your drums into one sound module? Thanks man, this is definitely a method of sequencing i’m going to be trying with hush.
I believe in this video I was using kontakt for my drums, but you can also do this in maschine as well, check this out
https://maschinetutorials.com/how-to-build-a-drum-kit-on-a-single-pad/
This is dope for me and they way I sequence bc I like to start with my hook and then strip away instruments for the other parts of the song!
word fam, a lot of us work that way!
If I route the track mute outs to another group of sounds with the hush vst, I think I could do the track mutes and draw it in like this! Correct me if I’m wrong though
Not quite sure what you’re asking
Well the difference between the linear sequencing mode and pad mutes was the position that you put hush vst in. LOL…uh….try it and see 🙂
Yeah ima have to mess around tomorrow!
This got me thinking about using hush to automate effect mutes too!
yes indeed, we love to spark experimentation 🙂

wow this is awesome. now i arrange my tracks directly in maschine and export the stemps to mix it in my daw…. easier and faster way .. thanks for this excellent tip
cool, glad you like it!
An idea that could have so much potential i cant try out because Maschine wont recognise Hush
*****Launch and Mute multiple tracks (clips) at the same time Using Padlink Master/Slave?
Make one a master that will mute all the clips you link it to. This will act like the track play/stop in Ableton.
Fingers crossed this works
(And for me Hush too)
That’s a great idea man!
Do you still use this?
Nah, the developer didn’t continue updating it after a while so I haven’t touched it in years.
